Privacy policy
How Flying Turtle handles your personal information. Last updated: October 2026.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Flying Turtle Ltd, registered in England & Wales, company number 16383693, registered office 10 Scott Avenue, London, SW15 3PA. Flying Turtle is the international brand of TAO BIN. We are the data controller for the information described here, and we handle it in accordance with UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
2. What information we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us. There is no account to create and nothing is gathered in the background.
If you send the enquiry form: your name, job title, company, email, phone, postcode and site address, details about the site such as its opening hours and how many people pass through, and anything you write in the message.
If you send the support form: your name, email, phone, where the machine is, when the problem happened, the drink, the amount charged and the last four digits of your payment card. We ask for those last four digits only to match your report against the machine's own record of the transaction. We never ask for, and you should never send, a full card number.
If you send a job application: your name, email, phone, postcode, right-to-work and driving licence answers, availability, a link to your CV and anything you write. CVs are links you host yourself; this site accepts no file uploads.
Our web host records standard server logs, including IP addresses, as a normal part of serving the site securely.
3. How we use your information
To reply to you, to assess a site for a machine, to investigate a fault or refund, and to consider a job application. We do not use it to build a profile of you, and we do not sell it or share it for marketing.
4. Legal bases for processing
For enquiries, support requests and applications we rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box when you send a form, and on our legitimate interests in running and supporting our machines. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us. For refund investigations we may also rely on the performance of a contract.
5. Sharing your information
We share your information only where we need to:
Our service providers. Our web host, and our email provider, process data on our behalf under contract.
Google Fonts. This site loads its typefaces from Google's font servers. That means your IP address is visible to Google whenever you load a page, before you interact with anything. We are working to serve these fonts ourselves so this stops happening. If you would rather avoid it in the meantime, a browser extension or privacy mode that blocks third-party font requests will prevent it, and the site will still work.
Payment card networks. Payments at a machine are handled by the payment terminal and its provider. We never receive or store your full card number.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone, for any purpose.
6. How long we keep your data
Enquiries and support requests: up to 24 months after our last contact. Job applications: up to 12 months, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or you join us. Server logs: a short rolling period for security.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, ask for it in a portable form, and withdraw consent. Email contact@flying-turtle.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
8. Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel and no tracking of any kind.
The one thing we store on your device is a single flag remembering that you dismissed the privacy notice, so it does not reappear on every page. It is kept in your browser's local storage, never sent to us, and holds nothing about you. Clearing your browsing data removes it.
Because we set no cookies and run no tracking, there is nothing here for you to consent to or opt out of. The notice you see is there to tell you that, and to be honest about the Google Fonts connection described in section 5.
9. How we protect your data
The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions travel encrypted to our own server on this domain rather than to a third-party form service. Access to enquiries and applications is limited to the people who need it.
